Offering a tactical Karambit knife in a custom leather carry sheath. I became a fan of the karambit knife after watching Doug Marcaida wield his on "Forged in Fire". With a little practice (like anything else) it is a very effective weapon, as well as being a nice sharp every day carry knife.
Two things prompted me to make this leather sheath. One, that's what I do. Two, the sheath that came with the knife was plastic and I didn't care for the way it attached to the belt. And, it actually carried the knife facing the wrong way! The karambit is supposed to be carried with the blade curving to the front. You put your index finger in the loop and draw the knife, which automatically wraps your fingers around the grip, properly. The blade protrudes from the bottom of your fist, like a big claw. There are some good YouTube videos showing how to wield the karambit.
ABOUT THE KNIFE- The knife is sold by MTech, USA. It is stainless steel and a good solid knife. It is 7" overall, with a 3" sharpened edge. It is marked "USA DESIGN" but they have it made off-shore (China). Check your local laws for knife regulations, but 3" is pretty standard allowable length. If you desire, the handle can be wrapped with paracord and still fit the sheath. There is a quick video on how to do it, here: https://youtu.be/SPkxzrEgnJk
ABOUT THE SHEATH- The sheath is my design, made after I realized I didn't like the one from MTech. It is made from black English Bridal Leather sourced from Wickett and Craig, a major tannery in Pennsylvania. The border is a cool "thumbprint and mule foot" design, with a skull and crossed bones topped by three stars. Stitching is heavy #277 bonded nylon thread and is extremely strong.
I have only made one of these, so far, so this one is the only one available. I priced it so you will pay exactly what I did for the knife, and my profit is only from the sheath.
