I made this seat for my 1982 Sportster bobber project and installed it for a few months, so it is a "vintage" seat (read "used"). The seat is built on a heavy steel seat pan and measures 13.5" long by 10.5" wide, with nice thick padding. The top is milled tooling leather that I tooled with a Punisher-style flag motif skull and hand painted. The underside is black heavy tooling leather. The cover is cemented and riveted together with brass rivets. It should last for a very long time.
The seat mounts with a standard hinge and has two bolts for spring attachment. I have used it with coil and hairpin style springs. (NOTE: The other half of the hinge stayed on my bike. You can get one on eBay for under 10 bucks, including postage.)
Why am I selling it? I like it a lot, but it is better suited to a hard tail frame than for a swing arm frame. I am keeping the swing arm on my bobber for now, and I changed the color scheme on the bike, so I made another seat that matches the new design.
