Beautiful belt sheath for a very nice Damascus blade folding knife.. This sheath carries the knife conveniently at the ready, as a right-handed cross draw. The sheath keeps the knife at the belt line, rather than hanging down, so it is convenient and comfortable, even when sitting.
I crafted this sheath from genuine ostrich, over top quality tooling leather. I hand stitched the ostrich onto the front layer of leather and then stitched the back layer on, so the back is smooth, hiding the stitches. It is dyed black. The sheath is hand stitched (except for the edge of the opening on the pouch, which I did by machine) for many years of durability. It is a great-looking sheath and would make an excellent gift for any occasion.
The knife is a nice folder similar to a Buck, with a Damascus blade. Here is what the manufacturer said about the knife:
"Stunning Damascus blade is the result of hours and hours of forging. Blade was excellent heat treatment and blade is folded 5 times starting from 9 layers of 1095 and 15N20 giving approximately 312 layers in the awesome pattern. Blade has fantastic hand grinds and spine of the blade has gorgeous file work. Overall length of this folder is 9.0 inches when opened, 5.0 inches when closed, and the length of the blade is 4.0 inches." The knife weighs approximately 5.5 ounces.
I have made only one of these so, this one is it. If you like it, now is the time!
